This website, curioeducation.co.uk, is operated by Curio Education Ltd ("Curio", "we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website, including when you contact us or request a demo. It does not cover the Curio learning platform used by schools and pupils, which will be governed by a separate privacy notice when it launches.

3. The personal data we collect

When you use our contact or demo request forms, we collect:

• Your name
• Your role or job title
• Your school or organisation
• Your email address
• Your phone number (if you provide it)
• Any information you include in your message

We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address and basic server log data, which our website host uses to keep the site secure and running. We use only essential cookies, as described below.

4. How we use your personal data and our lawful basis

We use the data you provide to:

• Respond to your enquiry and answer your questions. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• Arrange and follow up on demo conversations. Lawful basis: legitimate interests and pre-contract steps.
• Keep records of our communications with you. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in managing our business.

We do not use the information you submit through this website to send you unrelated marketing, and we will only send you information you have asked for or that is directly relevant to your enquiry.

This website uses only strictly necessary (essential) cookies, which are required for the site to function and stay secure. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Under UK rules, strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent, so we do not display a cookie consent banner. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, though blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

6. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, acting on our instructions as data processors, including:

• Our email provider, Google (Google Workspace)

We keep enquiry and demo request data for 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together, in which case we keep it for as long as needed for that relationship and any legal obligations. After that we securely delete it.

• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Ask us to delete your data
• Ask us to restrict or object to how we use it
• Ask for a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent, where we rely on consent
